Meatloaf

Pernah tak rasa buntu nak bagi anak-anak makan apa??? Especially tengahari - masa terlalu singkat, mana nak ambik anak dan hantar anak ke sekolah lagi. So in between why not try this recipe. It's simple, easy and quick - using only about 5 to 6 items you most probably have in the kitchen. Resepi ni pun bagus kalau kat dapur tu masih ada lagi roti yang tak terabis (stale bread) atau roti wholemeal (yg tak berapa laku with the kids :D) Lagipun meatloaf ni berkhasiat untuk anak-anak - ada sumber protein, carbohidrat, vitamins, minerals... Cukup lengkap!

THE RECIPE :
Minced meat
Onion (Holland/Bombay) & garlic - dice
Button mushroom
1 stick celery - cut into small cubes
1 carrot - cut into small cubes
2 eggs
1 - 1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup tomato paste (optional)
Salt & pepper to season
Olive oil
Bread

How to prepare
Heat olive oil in pan. Saute onions
Add minced meat. Fry til brown - jgn kering sangat
Add chopped celery & carrots. Continue frying until soft
Add tomato paste & mushroom
Remove pan from heat
Line a baking pan @ smother with butter - supaya meatloaf tak lekat kat baking pan tu
Break bread into small pieces - carik-carik kan je .....
Mix with meat mixture
Add egg, milk and season to taste
(Tekan-tekan sikit mixture tu supaya meatloaf mampat & padat)
Bake at 175oC for about 20mins or until top is brown
(kalau suka boleh hias dengan hirisan cili kat atas tu @ tabur dengan cheese)
